Parents, Athletes, Community Members, The 2020-21 winter sports season has finally kicked off, and we are beyond excited! We know fans are limited, but we can still cheer on our Patriot athletes from a distance. We are offering an opportunity to show your support and encouragement towards our athletes through signs to be showcased at each home game by placing them in our stands. Show you support to the team or athlete of your choosing by purchasing a sign. Signs are 24” x 32”. The signs will be sold for $50 and the proceeds will go towards your team. If you are interested in a sign, please fill out the attached form and return it to Kiersten Gascho in the high school office. You can also complete the online form at bit.ly/3jHAb6s and send a check made out to USA Schools with your student to the high school office. We thank you in advance for your continued support of our athletics department and look forward to a celebratory winter sports season. If there are any questions, please email me at gaschok@think-usa.org. Thank you, Kiersten Gascho Athletic Director

Dear Student Athletes, Parents, and Community Members, The USA Athletic Department in compliance with the MHSAA and MDHHS has some important information to share with the community about winter sports. Protocol has been released about spectators at events by the MHSAA and MDHHS. Each participant on a team will be allowed to have four guests in attendance at an event. Spectators are required to wear masks and physically distance from others who are not the same household. Failure to comply could result in the spectator being asked to leave. The district is able to broadcast video of home games on the NFHS network: www.nfhsnetwork.com. This will allow family members and friends unable to attend to be able to watch all levels of games at USA and other NFHS schools with a purchased subscription. Please make sure to register as a USA fan! If you subscribe to a monthly subscription, then 10% of fees come back to our school. If you subscribe to a yearly subscription, then 19% of fees comes back to the school. Also catch your Patriots on the NFHS Network when they travel to: Bad Axe, Brown City, Caro, Cass City, Harbor Beach, Lakers, Marlette, Reese, Sandusky, and Vassar. Athletes, family, and community members are able to view the athletics calendar on the district’s website: https://www.arbiterlive.com/Teams?entityId=24025. For tonight’s game, please present the ticket and $5 at the gate for entrance. We will not be clearing the gym between JV and varsity games. Face masks are required to be worn at all times on school grounds. We are also asking anyone that is considering attending an event at USA to help protect our community and stay home if they are feeling sick. It is important for us to continue to follow these protocols so our athletes are able to have a winter sports season. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding as we navigate through these challenging times together as USA Patriots. It is our ultimate goal to allow our student athletes, especially our seniors, the opportunity to compete in winter sports. If there are any questions or concerns, please call the school at (989) 883-2534. Thank you, Kiersten Gascho Athletic Director

February 1, 2021 Dear Parents/Guardians: Today we were informed that a member of our staff is “probable positive” for COVID-19. The District is coordinating closely with the Huron County Health Department to assure our community's health and safety. We have performed contact tracing with the assistance of the Health Department and identified all close contacts. Those families have been contacted with instructions for their child to quarantine. If you have not been contacted, your child is not a close contact with the individual, and therefore your child is not required to quarantine.
