USA Robotics Team 5447 Team Robotica

Team Robotica‚Äč

The USA High School robotics team #5447, or Team Robotica, competes in the FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC).  The team is composed of students and mentors from the robotics class.

Every year, the team recieves their challenge in January and are given 6 weeks to design and build a robot.  They compete in two tournaments with 40 teams from around the state.

We attended Kickoff at Bullock Creek High School in Midland on January 6th.  While there, we watched the game reveal, telling us what we need to do to succeed.  We got our kit of parts and came home to read through the game manual and start designing our robot.

We attended our two events of the year.  Our team found and fixed problems that we encountered, tested our robot multiple times, and drove thier creation to the best of their ability.  We had a bumpy year, but are proud of the robot we made and how we competed.

The team will convert over to VEX for next year's competition.  Students in our class have already started to work on thier robots.  The shop will be open during the summer for students who are participating in robotics next year to come in and begin or continue building their robots.  If you want to check out the VEX challenge for next year's competition, click here.
